Longridge Cricket Club Summer Camps
We are proud to announce that we shall, again, be hosting Summer Camps throughout most of the summer holidays.
The first series of camps will run from Monday 24th July to Friday 18th August 9am to 3pm every day with an hour break for lunch. This camp is aimed at anyone in the 5 to 11 years old age range and at all abilities. The cost is £15 per day and all you need is a packed lunch with drink, sun hat and sun screen for those sunny days (bring your cricket gear if you have it). The days will contain mixed skills activities, games and cricket challenges. All activities will be run outside but alternative activities will be planned for inclement weather. This camp will be run by resident senior Shaun Cockell who has recently moved to the area from Yorkshire and chosen to make Longridge his home club. He has run cricket summer camps for several years in Yorkshire. He is an ECB level 2 coach with full DBS certificate and current first aid qualifications. If you are interested in booking your child/children onto any of the days/weeks please contact Shaun directly on 07798 810858 or firstname.lastname@example.org. A register will be taken each day when the children arrive and contact details checked for parents/carers. Please note that the camps can only run successfully if there are sufficient numbers booking on so please confirm your bookings as early as possible. This will also help with planning for numbers of helpers etc. (late bookings and on the day bookings will be accepted if there is capacity. Early drop offs and later pickups can also be accommodated with prior arrangements).
In addition to this The Cricket Asylum team from Halifax will deliver a camp from Monday 21st August to Wednesday 23rd August. Their sessions are aimed in the 7 to 14 years old age range and were very popular last year, with our older boys and girls. The cost is £25 per day but if all three days are booked the cost is £20 per day. Again a packed lunch with a drink will be needed along with the sun protection as above. If you want to book your child / children onto this camp please visit the website http://www.thecricketasylum.co.uk/may-ht-summer-courses/ or call 01422 836554. The camp will run 10am to 4pm with drop off from 9am and pick up by 5pm. They are run by a professional coach with lots of fun and games, tournaments and competitions, skills development, net practice and much more.
We hope you find this helpful and your child enjoys the days they attend.
Please note that both camps are open to members, non-members – all friends and family members, and, of course our new All Stars.
